At Genesis, one of the most publicly visible ways that we express our faith and love our neighbors is by serving our community. For specific opportunities to get involved, be it a means to express your faith or because you simply want to help others, visit our calendar or contact the project lead using the "category" feature on our contact page.

Neighbors On The Hill is made up of citizens, businesses, government officials, non-profit organizations, and others who are dedicated to cultivating Capitol Hill’s eclectic urban soul through positive neighborhood action projects. Following a "broken windows" philosophy of community development, our goals include: creating a cleaner, safer and better Capitol Hill; inspiring residents to have pride in and take responsibility for Capitol Hill; connecting people so we become a neighborhood of front porch, balcony, and sidewalk conversations; collaborating with officials from the City of Denver to meet our mutual goals; and acting on our values by rolling up our sleeves and participating in neighborhood action projects.

Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people from all walks of life to build simple, decent houses in which people can live and grow into all that God intended. Habitat is a community based home-ownership program. Homeowner candidates and volunteers build simple, decent homes throughout the metro area. Qualified families purchase Habitat homes with zero-interest loans and make mortgage payments based on 25 percent of the family's income. Mortgage payments are reinvested into the program to fund future construction.
